Dover, DE (May 11, 2022) – Troopers with the Delaware State Police responded to the scene of a serious injury accident in Dover on Wednesday, May 11th. The accident happened around 3:20 p.m. along Sorghum Mill Road at the intersection with Carolina Avenue.
According to a report from the DSP, there were at least two vehicles involved in a crash that took place at the intersection. Numerous emergency response vehicles were at the scene just after the accident happened. The roadway was closed down so that the injured victims could receive treatment and the accident could be investigated.
The road closure was expected to last several hours and drivers were asked to find an alternate route of travel if possible. At this time, there is no information on what caused the accident to occur or the extent of the injuries suffered by the victims.
Police are still investigating the collision and determining whether any charges will be filed. There is no further information available.
