Dover, DE (May 26, 2022) – Police in Dover were called to the scene of a fatal single-car crash on Tuesday, May 25th. The accident happened just before 7:00 p.m. on Judith Road near the intersection with Dinahs Corner Road.
Authorities say that 61-year-old Aaron Stephens, of Dover, was operating a vehicle on Judith Road when his car left the roadway and rolled over before striking a utility pole and coming to rest. A passenger in the vehicle, a 64-year-old Dover man, was ejected from the car. The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation followed after the accident and police determined that Stephens was impaired at the time of the crash. He was charged with a 5th offense DUI and vehicular manslaughter. He was taken to jail and is currently being held on bond.
