Multi-Vehicle Accidents in Delaware
Delaware’s multilane roads and major streets may be hazardous for drivers. A report by the Delaware Department of Transportation states that about 31,500 traffic accidents occurred in the State in 2020. The number of casualties from these collisions is more than 7,000, with numerous victims also suffering injuries so severe that they proved fatal.
There are often many different factors that contribute to these types of accidents. Speeding, reckless driving, DUIs, and distracted driving are among the main causes. If you or someone close to you has been involved in a car accident, it’s natural to be upset and uncertain about how to proceed.
Multi-Vehicle accidents tend to be more fatal than single-vehicle accidents. Especially in the case of a T-bone crash or head-on collision. Unfortunately, injuries sustained in these crashes can cost more than just a hospital bill. Lost wages, due to the inability to work can also put undue financial stress on individuals and their families.
After sustaining a serious injury in an accident that was avoidable, you may find that you are no longer able to do some of the things that you could before. For instance, if you become handicapped in any way, it may be more difficult to do certain things like driving a car or cleaning the room. You should consult a Delaware Car Accident Lawyer to see if your injury case is worth examining.
