New Castle, DE (July 3, 2022) – Authorities in New Castle responded to the scene of an injury crash on Thursday, June 30th. The accident took place in the westbound lanes of Route 40 near Route 72 at approximately 3:00 p.m.
According to a report from the area, there were multiple vehicles involved in the accident. One vehicle came to rest in the median and suffered heavy front-end damage. A second vehicle sustained damage to its left side and came to rest in a crosswalk. At least one person was injured in the collision. Paramedics treated the victim at the scene and then transported them to a local hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. At this time, it is unclear how the accident took place.
