New Castle, DE (August 20, 2022) – Officials in New Castle were called to the scene of a hit-and-run crash on Saturday. The incident happened on Carpenter Station Road near Valley Run Drive.
According to authorities, a 78-year-old man was riding a motorcycle when he was struck by a Honda CRV at the intersection. The motorcyclist sustained critical injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the CRV fled the area following the accident. Police are still searching for the driver at this time. There is no further description available for the suspect. The motorcyclist was not immediately identified.
