Middletown, DE (September 22, 2022) – A student at Middletown High School was injured after being hit by a vehicle outside the school on Wednesday, September 21st. The crash took place on Route 299.
According to a report from the Delaware State Police, the 17-year-old male student was walking in front of the school when he was hit by a vehicle that was traveling at about 35 miles per hour. The student was seriously injured in the collision and was airlifted to Christiana Hospital. There is no word on whether the driver was injured in the collision. At this time, it is not clear what caused the accident to take place. Police have not said whether any charges will be filed in connection with the accident.
An investigation is ongoing at this time. No further information has been released.
