Delaware Pedestrian Accidents
Pedestrian accidents happen each day across Delaware. While they are not as frequent as other types of crashes, including vehicle accidents, they are usually more severe. The outcome of a pedestrian accident is most likely to include serious injuries and can even result in death. As a group, pedestrians are among the most vulnerable accident victims because they have no protection from the force and impact of a collision. To make matters worse, many Delaware pedestrian accidents take place because of a negligent driver. These drivers fail to obey traffic laws or may act in some other careless way that leads to a collision.
If you or a loved one have been affected by a pedestrian accident in Delaware, you could have a legal remedy. If the crash was at least partially caused by the other driver, it is important to speak with an attorney in order to understand your rights. Under Delaware law, victims or their families may be able to bring a claim for recovery of damages. This includes the right to receive reimbursement for medical bills, lost wages, and more. While no amount of money can ultimately replace what you have lost in the accident, it can help to offset many of the unexpected expenses that you are suddenly facing following a serious accident.
