Millsboro, DE (November 9, 2022) – Officials in Millsboro responded to the scene of a serious car accident in Millsboro on Wednesday morning, November 9th. The crash happened just after 7:00 a.m. on John J. Williams Highway near Mountair Farms.
According to a report from the Delaware State Police, six employees from Mountaire Farms were driving eastbound and turning into a parking lot. At the same time, an SUV was traveling westbound on the highway. The SUV crossed into the eastbound lanes and struck the van head-on. Four passengers in the van and the SUV driver were taken to a local hospital for treatment. None of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening. The driver of the SUV was identified as a 50-year-old woman.
At this time, it is believed that alcohol played a role in the crash. An investigation is ongoing. There is no further information available.
