Bridgeville, DE (December 6, 2022) – Officials in Bridgeville responded to the scene of a deadly two-car accident on Monday, December 5th. The accident occurred just after 1:00 p.m. on Wesley Church Road near the area of Cannon Road.
According to a report, a gray 2010 Ford Focus was traveling northbound on Wesley Church. At the same time, a white 2014 Dodge Charger was traveling eastbound on Cannon Road. The Focus driver failed to stop at the stop sign and proceeded through the intersection, causing a collision with the Charger. Both cars then left the road following the collision and came to rest on Cannon Road. The 83-year-old Focus driver died as a result of his injuries. The 26-year-old driver of the Charger was taken to an area hospital where he was treated for unknown injuries. There were no other vehicles or individuals involved in the accident.
An investigation remains ongoing at this time. No further details have been released.
