Magnolia, DE (December 19, 2022) – Troopers with the Delaware State Police responded to the scene of a fatal crash involving a motorcycle on Sunday afternoon, December 18th. The accident took place in Magnolia on Irish Hill Road at the intersection with Almond Avenue.
According to a report from the scene, the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Irish Hill Road, heading toward Almond Avenue. At the same time, an SUV was traveling in the opposite direction. The SUV driver attempted to make a left turn onto Almond Hill Road when it collided with the motorcycle. The front of the motorcycle struck the bumper of the SUV, ejecting the rider in the process.
The rider died at the crash scene. The five occupants of the SUV were not hurt. No one involved in the accident was identified. Police are still investigating, and there is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed.
