Millsboro, DE (January 6, 2023) – Police in Millsboro responded to the scene of a two-car crash on Thursday, January 5th. The accident happened around 11:20 a.m. on Route 24 at the intersection with Plantation Road.
According to Sgt. India Sturgis of the Delaware State Police, an 87-year-old woman was driving a Nissan Sentra eastbound on Route 24 when she slowed to make a left turn. As she turned, the woman collided with a Honda Civic that was traveling westbound on Route 24. The Civic was driven by a 45-year-old Millsboro man. The 87-year-old woman and her 61-year-old passenger were taken to a local hospital where they were treated for undisclosed injuries. No one involved in the accident was identified.
Police are still investigating the crash. There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed at this time.
