Newark, DE (February 6, 2023) – The Delaware State Police are investigating following a serious crash involving a tractor-trailer in Newark. The accident was reported around 3:50 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95, just north of the interchange with Route 896.
According to officials, the accident involved a sedan and a tractor-trailer. The tractor-trailer overturned following the accident, trapping the driver inside. A 59-year-old man driving a sedan was also trapped inside his vehicle following the collision. Paramedics rushed both men to a hospital in Christiana, where they were listed in serious condition.
