New Castle, DE (February 7, 2023) – The New Castle County Sheriff’s Office and rescue officials were at the scene of an injury accident on Monday, February 6th. The crash was reported around 9:30 a.m. on Route 896 near Bethel Church Road.
According to eyewitness reports, there appeared to be at least two vehicles involved in the collision. Paramedics arrived, along with firefighters and police, to investigate the crash. At least one person suffered injuries as a result of the accident. The nature and extent of the victim’s injuries are not known at this time. It is unclear how many people were hurt. The cause of the accident has not been released. The accident caused the southbound lanes of the road to be partially shut down for a period of time.
