Felton, DE (February 13, 2023) – Troopers with the Delaware State Police have identified the victim of a fatal two-car crash that happened in Felton on Saturday morning, February 11th. The crash took place on Midstate Road and South DuPont Highway.
According to a report, the crash originally occurred as an Acura RLX was turning onto Dupont Highway from MidState Road. The Acura As it was turning, the Acura struck a 2012 Ford Focus that did not stop for a red light. 90-year-old Leslie Wix was a passenger in the Acura at the time of the accident. He suffered critical injuries and was later pronounced dead. The driver of the Ford Focus was not hurt. It is unclear if the police intend to file any charges in connection with the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No further information has been released.
