Fatal Car Accident in Milford
The Delaware Department of Transportation maintains statistics on the number of traffic accidents that take place in our state. In 2021, nearly 30,000 accidents were reported in Delaware, with nearly 8,000 injuries also reported as a result of these accidents. These numbers clearly demonstrate that our local roadways can be dangerous for motorists. Too often, we take our safety for granted when we get into a vehicle. Driving seems like a routine activity, and it is easy to slip into a false sense of security when we get behind the wheel of a vehicle.
Unfortunately, accidents normally occur when they are least expected. One minute you can be driving down the road minding your own business, and the next, you can find yourself as the victim of an injury crash. Major car accidents are frequently caused by negligent and careless drivers. These drivers engage in behaviors that place not only themselves but all other motorists on the road at risk of being hurt in an accident.
A Delaware car accident can be a serious event that can affect many aspects of your life. The crash can hinder your ability to work and earn a living and can cause financial difficulties. In addition, you may suffer mental and emotional trauma that can interfere with your daily experiences. All of these issues can result in the need to obtain compensation for your injuries and your damages.
