Police were called to the scene on North Dupont Highway, also known as Route 13 northbound, near the New Castle Airport in reference to the collision. When they arrived, authorities found two people who were suffering from cuts and possible head injuries. The two victims were riding a motorcycle on Route 13 when they were involved in a crash with a car. The motorcyclists were ejected in the crash and were taken to a local hospital for treatment. There is no word on their conditions at this time. The rider was identified as a 71-year-old man, and his passenger was identified as a 65-year-old female. Their names have not been released.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured in the accident. The Delaware State Police are investigating the accident at this time. There is no word on whether any charges will be filed.
