Middletown, DE – Motorcycle Rider Dies in Crash on Middletown Warwick Rd.

Middletown, DE (April 24, 2023) – Authorities in Middletown responded to the scene of a deadly accident involving a motorcycle on Monday morning, April 24th. The crash took place just before 2:00 p.m. on Middletown Warwick Road near the intersection with Levels Road.

According to authorities, a motorcyclist was riding on Middletown Warwick Road when they were involved in a crash with a tractor-trailer. The victim, who was not identified, sustained critical injuries due to the accident. The rider was treated by New Castle County paramedics but succumbed to their injuries at the accident scene. No further injuries were reported due to the crash. The cause of the accident has not been released and remains under investigation.

Officials partially blocked the road while they investigated the crash and cleared the scene. There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed.
