Car Accidents in Delaware
Delaware can be a dangerous place for motorists. According to statistics reported by the Delaware Department of Transportation, more than 30,000 car accidents took place across our state in 2021. Approximately one-third of these collisions resulted in injuries to one or more involved motorists. The injuries suffered in a Delaware car accident can be serious and result in broken bones, head trauma, neck and spinal cord injuries, strains, sprains, and more. If you were hurt in the crash, you may be entitled to compensation. Your potential recovery depends on the circumstances of the accident and who is determined to be at fault.
Under Delaware law, crash victims can recover for their pain and suffering, lost wages, medical and prescription expenses, and potentially more. Your damages might be greater than you first believe. This is because many accident injuries tend to linger, and victims recover slowly. You may even find that you actually get worse before you get better. As you work towards healing, it is important to have a Delaware car accident attorney who can help you obtain the compensation you deserve.
