According to a report from the Delaware State Police, a 26-year-old Georgetown man was operating a 2014 Ford Mustang westbound on Harmons Mill. As he approached a curve, the man lost control of his car and left the road as the vehicle spun counterclockwise. The Mustang struck a utility pole and spun around again before coming to rest.
The driver of the Mustang was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The man later succumbed to his injuries. His passenger was also transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries but is expected to be ok.
Neither of the men has been identified at this time. Troopers are still investigating the cause of the crash. Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to contact the Delaware State Police.
There is no further information available at this time.
We would like to extend our thoughts and condolences to all who were affected by this car accident in Millsboro.
Car Accidents in Delaware
Delaware’s roadways can be dangerous places for motorists. With more than 1 million registered motor vehicles and congested streets and highways, it should be no secret that crashes will frequently occur. Not every accident will result in injuries, but about one-third of them will. In 2021, approximately 8,000 motorists were injured, and 162 were killed in Delaware car accidents.
