Wilmington, DE (June 30, 2023) – Police in the Wilmington area responded to the scene of an injury crash on Friday, June 30th. The accident was reported at approximately 1:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 near Route 1.
According to an eyewitness report, the accident involved at least two vehicles. Both cars were next to the center median, and they appeared to have suffered heavy damage in the crash. At least one person was injured as a result of the collision. Paramedics and rescue workers quickly arrived at the scene in order to provide medical treatment. There is no update on the condition of the victim.
Police did not release any details on the cause of the accident, and it is not known if any charges will be filed. The identity of the victim was also not released.
