Wilmington, DE (February 15, 2024) – Officers with the Wilmington Police Department were summoned to the scene of a car accident with injuries on Thursday, February 15th. The accident happened around 8:25 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Route 2 near the Elsmere Bridge.
According to an eyewitness report from the scene, the accident involved multiple vehicles. At least one person was injured in the accident. The victim received treatment at the scene before being transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. The cause of the accident has not yet been released and is currently under investigation at this time. The southbound lanes of Philadelphia Pike were partially blocked as a result of the accident.
