Dover, DE (March 16, 2024) – A woman who was involved in a serious two-car crash earlier this month has no succumbed to her injuries. The collision originally happened on March 3rd at the intersection of North Dupont Highway and Rose Bowl Road.
The Delaware State Police reports that Joyce Henry succumbed to her injuries on Friday, March 15th. The crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. when a 2004 Toyota Corolla collided with a 2006 BMW 325 that was traveling in the southbound lane of North Dupont Highway. Following the crash, Henry was airlifted from the scene to an area trauma hospital where she succumbed to her injuries on Friday. The BMW driver, a 20-year-old man from Delaware, was taken from the scene to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the BMW, identified as a 17-year-old female, was also treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The road was closed for about three hours while police investigated the crash and cleared the scene.
The accident remains under investigation at this time. There is no further information available.
