Newark, DE (April 14, 2024) – Police in the Newark area are investigating after a deadly hit-and-run accident on Saturday, April 13th. The crash occurred just after midnight at Christiana Road and South Brownleaf Road.
According to a report, a car was traveling near the intersection when the driver struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian, who was identified only as a 49-year-old man, sustained critical injuries in the accident. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
