Injury Accidents in Delaware
According to the Delaware Department of Transportation, approximately 30,000 car accidents are reported annually. While not every crash will result in injuries, many of them will. It is estimated that about 8,000 people are hurt in Delaware car accidents every year. Some of these injuries will be serious, and a small percentage will even be fatal. Sadly, victims are often hurt in accidents that are not their fault. Speeding, impairment, and distracted driving play a major role in Delaware car accidents.
If you were injured in a car accident, you should seek medical treatment as soon as possible. Many car accident injuries do not manifest right away. While you may feel fine immediately following the collision, you can begin experiencing pain several days later. Before your injuries worsen, it is important to obtain medical attention. This helps to shorten your recovery time and ensure that you can completely heal.
After obtaining medical treatment, you should contact an attorney for legal protection. Delaware’s car accident laws are complicated and full of traps for injured victims.
