Camden, DE (June 28, 2024) – The Delaware State Police responded to the scene of a fatal car accident in Camden on Wednesday, June 26th. The incident happened at approximately 5:00 a.m. on Walnut Shade Road near Barney Jenkins Road.
According to a report from the area, a 2009 Cadillac Escalade was traveling eastbound on Walnut Shade. At the same time, a 2016 Honda Accord was traveling westbound on the same road. The Cadillac crossed the centerline and collided head-on with the Accord. The driver of the Accord, 31-year-old Brian Moore, of Magnolia, suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the accident scene. The Cadillac driver, an 18-year-old from Bear, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while his passenger, a 19-year-old woman from Harrington, was airlifted from the scene with non-life-threatening injuries. The road was closed for about three hours while the crash was investigated and the scene was cleared. Drivers were told to use alternate routes of travel. The accident remains under investigation at this time. There is no further information available.
