New Castle, DE (July 4, 2024) – The Delaware State Police responded to the scene of a fatal accident in New Castle on Monday, July 1st. The crash happened around 4:00 p.m. along Wilson Road in the Brandywine Hundred community.
According to a report from the area, the incident involved three cars that collided with one another in a head-on crash. When troopers arrived, they found an elderly man suffering from critical injuries. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people in the other vehicles were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The crash resulted in the closure of Wilson Road for several hours. No one involved in the accident has been identified at this time. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. There is no additional information available.
