Wilmington, DE (July 19, 2024) – Police in Wilmington responded to the scene of a serious multi-car crash on Friday, July 19th. The collision occurred at approximately 9:20 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 495 near the Christina River Bridge.
According to a report from the scene, there were multiple cars involved in the crash. At least one of the vehicles suffered heavy damage. Paramedics responded to the scene and treated the victims for undisclosed injuries. There is no information on what caused the accident to occur. Several lanes of the road were blocked as motorists were advised to avoid the area or to find an alternate route of travel if possible. There is no word on the identities of the victims.
