Sussex Co, DE (January 19, 2025) – An injury two-car crash occurred on January 18 west of Millsboro, sending seven individuals to area hospitals. The collision took place around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Careys Camp Road and Millsboro Highway, according to the Delaware State Police.
Authorities reported that a Nissan Altima traveling southbound on Careys Camp Rd failed to stop at a posted stop sign, striking an eastbound Buick SUV on Millsboro Hwy. Emergency responders, including paramedics and firefighters, promptly arrived to assist the injured and secure the scene.
The driver of the Buick SUV and a 15-year-old passenger, both residents of Laurel, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital. The driver of the Nissan Altima and four passengers were also hospitalized, with two sustaining serious injuries. Firefighters worked to extricate individuals trapped in the vehicles, while law enforcement directed traffic and ensured the safety of first responders.
