Claymont, DE (May 6, 2022) – The Delaware State Police responded to a crash with injuries on Friday morning, May 6th. The collision happened in Claymont in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 near Naamans Road.
According to an eyewitness report, two black sedans were seen on the shoulder of the roadway following the collision. One of the cars had damage to its front end and hood area and appeared to have collided with the guardrail located off the shoulder. The other car was seen ahead of the first car on the shoulder. Paramedics were at the scene treating at least one person for undisclosed injuries. Police have not provided any information on how the accident took place. There is no word on the identities of the drivers involved.
Traffic in the northbound lanes was severely affected by the accident as the road was reduced down to one lane. The accident is still under investigation at this time. There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed.
