Injury Multi-Vehicle Accidents in Delaware
For drivers, the multi-lane highways and major thoroughfares that traverse Delaware may be perilous locations. According to a study released by the Delaware Department of Transportation in 2020, approximately 31,000 automobile accidents were recorded throughout the state. Many of these crashes resulted in injuries, and oftentimes, victims may even succumb to their injuries.
In fact, during the same year, over 7,100 motorists were injured, with a significant proportion of those suffering severe injuries, including but not limited to TBIs, whiplash, spinal cord damage, and more.
The majority of Delaware vehicle accidents are caused by at least one driver’s irresponsibility. While each accident has its own unique reason, and each collision must be thoroughly examined, there are certain common causes. This includes speeding, irresponsible driving, driving while intoxicated, and distracted driving. Motorists who knowingly breach traffic regulations are also more likely to cause a major accident that injures innocent people.
