Auto Accidents in Delaware
Delaware is a state with a large network of highways and roads. These pathways help people commute around more easily, but they can also lead to an increased risk of accidents. Delaware drivers should be aware of this when they’re driving.
In 2020, Delaware had 31,500 auto accidents. This number includes 7,000 fatal ones – and it’s likely that many more of the victims didn’t die until later as a result of their severe injuries.
One of the many factors that can lead to accidents is not paying attention while driving – whether it be reckless, distracted, or drunk. All of these can have serious consequences on your health and the safety of others on the road. If you have been involved in a crash and need help, consult with an experienced auto accident attorney in Delaware.
Car accidents in which there is only one vehicle involved can be scary and traumatic, but if there are more than two vehicles involved in the collision, then the risk of serious injuries is much higher. Unfortunately, many times those who end up seriously injured are not the ones actually at fault and they can be left to suffer grave consequences.
Many people that suffer from auto accidents lose their mode of transportation and have to take time away from work to deal with doctor appointments. This can lead to lost wages on top of increasing medical bills.
After a serious injury, the victim may find it hard to move on with their lives or get back to their previous job and daily routine. These severe life changes can lead to depression, anxiety, and other negative consequences for both themselves and their loved ones.
