Ellendale, DE (October 14, 2022) – Officials in Ellendale responded to the scene of a car accident with injuries on Thursday evening, October 13th. The crash was first reported around 7:45 p.m. on Route 113, just south of VFW Road.
According to the Ellendale Fire Company and police reports, an SUV and a semi-truck were both traveling in the southbound lanes of the roadway when the two vehicles collided with each other. The driver of the SUV sustained serious injuries in the accident and was taken to Bayhealth Hospital in Sussex for treatment. There is no update on the victim’s condition at this time. No additional injuries have been reported. It is unclear how the accident took place.
