Seaford, DE (November 7, 2022) – A man from Hebron, Maryland was killed in a motorcycle accident in Seaford over the weekend. The crash took place on Saturday, November 5th at approximately 7:35 p.m.
Authorities were dispatched to the scene at the intersection of South Front Street and North Market Street. According to a report from authorities, the 59-year-old man was operating his motorcycle southbound on South Front Street. At the same time, a 33-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet Silverado northbound on Market Street. The driver of the Chevrolet made a left turn directly into the path of the motorcycle, causing a crash between the two vehicles. The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike. He was rushed to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
The man’s identity has not been released at this time, pending next-of-kin notification. The road was closed for about three hours while officials investigated the accident. There is no information on whether any charges will be filed at this time.
