Dover, DE (December 13, 2022) – A woman died in a single-vehicle crash in Dover on Monday evening, December 12th. The accident occurred around 6:00 p.m. on Wheel of Fortune Road just south of Dyke Branch Road.
The Delaware State Police responded to the accident scene. According to troopers, a 59-year-old male driver was operating a Honda Accord northbound on Wheel of Fortune Road when he lost control of the vehicle. The car left the road and spun before striking a tree and coming to rest. A 45-year-old female passenger from Camden died at the crash scene. The driver was airlifted to a nearby hospital, where he was admitted in serious condition. No one involved in the collision has been identified at this time. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
