Milton, DE (March 25, 2023) – Officials in Milton have identified the victim of a car accident that took place on Thursday morning, March 23rd. The accident occurred in the southbound lanes of Route 1.
According to a report, 30-year-old Sheri Foster, from Clayton, was traveling southbound. At the same time, an 81-year-old Millsboro man was driving eastbound on Route 5. The man tried to turn onto Route 1 when he pulled out in front of Foster’s vehicle as he tried to cross the highway. The two cars collided, causing Foster’s car to spin out and strike a third vehicle before coming to rest. The man’s car veered into the northbound lanes of Route 1 before coming to a stop.
Foster died at the crash scene, while the 81-year-old man and his passenger were taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported in the crash.
Police are still investigating the accident at this time. No further information is available.
