Wilmington, DE (April 15, 2023) – The Wilmington Police Department responded to reports of a car accident with injuries on Friday, April 14th. The collision happened around 6:45 a.m. at the intersection of Thompsons Bridge Road and Guynecort Road.
According to an eyewitness report, at least one person was hurt as a result of the accident. There is no word on the nature or the extent of the victim’s injuries at this time. It is not clear how the accident took place. The road was partially blocked as a result of the crash. Drivers were advised to avoid the scene and to find an alternate route of travel if possible. The road later reopened after being closed for several hours.
At this time, it is not clear if any charges are expected to be filed in connection with the accident. The crash remains under investigation.
