According to police, two vehicles were involved in the crash. At least one person was trapped inside their vehicle following the collision. New Castle County Paramedics and fire crews responded and provided treatment to the injured victims. A 59-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man were both taken to Christiana Hospital in serious condition. A 64-year-old man was also transported and was listed in serious but stable condition, while a fourth patient was transported with undisclosed injuries but was also listed in stable condition. It is believed that three of the four victims suffered internal injuries due to the crash.
The cause of the accident was not immediately released, and the identities of the victims are not known at this time. Police continue to investigate the accident. There is no word on whether any charges will be filed in connection with the crash.
