New Castle, DE – Crash with Injuries on I-95 North at Rte. 896

New Castle, DE (June 8, 2023) – The Delaware State Police responded to an injury crash on Thursday, June 8th. The crash was reported just after 11:00 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 near Route 896.

The crash took place in the left-hand lanes of the roadway. When police arrived, they found at least one person suffering from injuries as a result of the crash. The accident victim received treatment at the scene before being transported to a local hospital for further treatment. At this time, there is no word on the nature or the extent of the victim’s injuries. The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Police have not determined if any charges will be filed.

The road was partially shut down while the accident was investigated, and police cleared the scene. Motorists were asked to avoid the area and to find an alternate route of travel if possible.
