Millsboro, DE (January 4, 2024) – Troopers with the Delaware State Police responded to a car accident in Millsboro on Tuesday afternoon, January 2nd. The crash occurred just after 4:00 p.m. on John J. Williams Highway, near William Street Road.
According to the DSP, a white Cadillac CTS was traveling eastbound on Williams Highway. At the same time, a silver GMC Terrain was traveling westbound on the same road. A blue Dodge Ram was traveling behind the GMC. The Cadillac crossed the center line and traveled into the westbound lanes where it collided with the left side of the GMC. Following the collision, the Cadillac continued eastbound and struck the Dodge head-on.
The Cadillac driver, a 20-year-old Lewes man, was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. His name was not released pending family notification. The Terrain driver, a 29-year-old Millsboro woman, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The Dodge driver, a 24-year-old man from Millsboro, also sustained non-life-threatening injuries. No one else involved in the accident was identified. The road was closed for over two hours while officials investigated the crash and cleared the area. No further details have been released.
